Internal Device

An Internal Device is a device assigned to a gateway to represent the gateway itself.

Examples measuring:

  • Internal temperature
  • CPU usage
  • Memory used/available
  • Vibrations for detecting tampering

Example published on GitHub: https://github.com/ApplicationPlatformForIoT/GatewayInternalDevice-2.0.

The implementation may detect whether a device is internal by reading the isInternal() method of a DeviceRegistration.
