Introduction

Device Networks are the top-level organizational feature in DDM. Typically, one DDM application uses one Device Network.

Device Networks group and control access to Gateways, Devices, and Resources. Every Device Network has a federated credentials store (a user database with rules and permissions) connected to it. The users in this store have access to APIs and data.

No data is sent between different Device Networks, but an application can be given access to several Device Networks; for example, if there are multiple DDM applications in the organization, write access can be enabled for one Device Network and read only for the others.

Switch Device Network

If you have access to several Device Networks, you can switch between them via the Device Network button in the upper right corner on the Dashboard:
